Coming to this place, you will have a chance to see and learn about animals from all over the world such as Arabian oryx, Malayan tapir, Bongo antelope, etc.
In this blog, I will share my experience after my second visit to Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc including its general information, how to get there, things to do inside the safari, and things to bear in mind.

Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is the first and largest wildlife conservation and care center in Vietnam with a total area of 380 hectares. It is home to 4,000 individuals of 200 species of animals from all over the world.

2. How to get to Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc?

There is a free shuttle bus provided by Vingroup which will pick up and drop off the customers of Vinpearl Safari, Vinwonder, and Grand World. All you need to do is just wait for the bus at a pick-up point near your hotel. Here is the bus schedule: Click here.

3. What’s inside Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc?
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc consists of 2 main sections: The Open Zoo and The Safari Park.
The Open Zoo houses 40 rare local fauna species as well as many wild animals from the world’s major geo-biological regions such as Arabian oryx, gaur, Malayan tapir, scimitar oryx, Bongo antelope, etc.
The animal houses at Open Zoo are built with a very modern design, optimizing not only the living environment conditions but also the visitors’ vision.
Besides seeing the animals, you can also join some activities during the day such as:
- Animal show (a must-see): Mon – Thu, 10:00 – 10:30; Fri – Sun, 10:00 – 10:30 and 14:00 – 14:30
- Animal feeding (each food box costs 30.000 VND): 9:00 – 16:00
- African tribe performance (Zulu dance): Mon-Sun, 9:20 – 9:50 and 15:30 – 16:00
The Safari Park is where you can explore the wild habitat of many rare species such as Bengal tigers, lions, white rhinoceros, leopards, etc.
It is built to meet the most stringent safari park model requirements, allowing the animals to be completely free and open. Each section created its habitat system that corresponds to the biological behavior of each species. There are no cages or shelters, and the wild animals roam free in the wild.
To visit the Safari Park, you need to go to the bus station and get on a bus which will take you around the area.
➡ Note: The Safari Park is open from 9:00 AM to 3:50 PM on weekdays. The last bus to Safari Park departs at 3:20 PM.

4. Things to bear in mind when visiting Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc
- To avoid wasting your time queuing, buy tickets online via this website to skip the line, and remember to enter code DL6KGF to get 5 USD OFF.
- There are 3 restaurants and several food stalls inside Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc. The foods in those restaurants are reasonably priced (about 4-5 USD/portion). I highly suggest the Giraffe restaurant where you can feed Giraffe and take pictures with them.
For Muslim friends: The restaurants here are not halal certified, but there are pork-free options on the menu. If you have to follow a strict halal diet, you probably want to eat before/after entering the safari.
- The best time to visit Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is in the morning because many shows happen until noon time.
- Lockers are available at the entrance.
- Things are not allowed to bring inside the safari: food/ drink, weapons, bikes (or any other means of transport), speakers, and living animals.
- You cannot feed the animals, except for some animal feeding stations.
- The Open Zoo is really big and requires a lot of walking. Thus, if you accompany kids or the elderly, it’s better to buy the buggy tickets at 100.000VND/person.
- There are a total of 10 toilets available in the Safari.
